About Heart Photos
Heart Photos is a photo library, and a wall to show it on.
It is one library of photographs shared by He.art (where photos are items you edit), avif.he.art (an AVIF converter that files what it converts) and the wall here. Upload an image through any of them, or through the API or MCP server, and every one of them sees it.
The wall
- Public photographs, edge to edge. Open one to see it large and step through the rest along the row of thumbnails beneath it.
- Galleries and tags. Gather photographs into galleries with addresses of their own, and narrow the wall by tag.
- Arranged by hand. Drag a photograph to where it belongs, and the wall keeps that order.
- Series and pairs. Photographs that belong together in order stand as one group; a wide photograph and its tall rendition can be joined as one image.
- Words for an image. He.art can write a title and a description for a photograph.
The library
- Converted, and kept. Uploads (JPEG, PNG, WebP and AVIF, up to 25 MB and 64 megapixels) are converted to AVIF, and the untouched original is kept, so it can always be downloaded again.
- The right size for the screen. Smaller renditions are made when they would actually be smaller, and
i.heart.photospicks one for the device asking. - Who sees what. A photograph is private (you alone), unlisted (anyone with the link) or public (on the wall as well).
- Stored once. An image you already hold is recognized by its bytes, so uploading it again gives you the photograph you have rather than a copy.
- The same library wherever you sign in. Your Google account is your library, in every app that uses it.
For developers
Scripts, servers and AI agents can read, upload and organise photographs through the library’s API and MCP server, with a token made in He.art’s account menu. The documentation covers what it does, how to drive it, and where its edges are.
